Somerstock is organised by the Somerton Music and Arts Festival Community Interest Company. This site provides information and the ticket portal for both Somerstock and all the Somerton Music & Arts Festival events.
This Privacy Policy is intended to inform website visitors of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided by users of this website.
If you choose to use our services, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The personal information that users share with us, and that we collect, is used to both provide and improve our service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this policy.
Our “Ticket Terms & Conditions” are set out below and should be read alongside this collection and use of data policy when purchasing tickets for Somerstock and other Somerton Music and Arts Festival events.
1 Collection and Use of Data Provided by Users of this Website
In order to use this website to purchase event tickets we require you to provide us with personally identifiable information, including your name and an associated email address.
To provide our service to you we use third-party companies and individuals for the following reasons:

to provide our service to the user in the provision of purchased tickets

to enable payments to be processed securely

to protect Somerton Music and Arts Festival and Somerstock against ticket fraud

to enable information to be sent to users of the service including information for the event itself and future events (no third party is involved in this process)
The third-party service providers are required perform the tasks undertaken on our behalf solely for the purposes described. They are not permitted to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.
2 Data Security
We value your trust in providing us with your personal information, and use appropriate and industry acceptable means of protecting it. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
The only data we hold is that which has been provided by the user and will only be used for the purposes described above; however, users may request that their personal data be removed from our systems by contacting us at hello@somerstock.co.uk Note that for security purposes and to avoid ticket fraud your data cannot be deleted until after the event for which the ticket has been bought.
As the only data we collect and retain is to provide the user with ordered tickets and direct information, no further aggregation or profiling of user data is undertaken.

In order to provide the user with information, this website contains links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that external sites are not operated by us and we have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party linked sites.
4 Children’s Privacy
Our services do not directly address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from, or about, children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.
5 Changes to This Privacy Policy
This current version of our Privacy Policy and Ticket and Entry Terms & Conditions are Version 2. This document replaces Version 1 and has changes to wording to clarify meaning and simplify text. It has additional content to ensure that we are compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as it applies in the UK and covered by the Data Protection Act 2018
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.

1 General
These Terms and conditions (T&Cs) apply to the following

Artists, bands and performers and any advertised attractions may be subject to change.

No trading or promotional activities are allowed within the venue without Somerton Music and Arts Festival CIC (SMAF) prior consent.

The provision or sale of goods using unauthorised event logos is not permitted.
-
Unauthorised professional recording equipment is not permitted and may be confiscated.
-
Tickets or goods from unlawful street traders/touts are invalid.
-
No unauthorised buses, coaches or trucks will be allowed on site.
2 Authorised Filming and Photography

You give consent to your actual/simulated likeness to be included for no fee within any audio or visual recording to be used in any media for any purpose at any time. This also includes filming by the police or security staff which may be carried out for the security of event goers and/or the prevention of crime.
3 Refunds
Refunds are only considered on major cancellation, substantial alteration or by special exception determined by SMAF. Refunds should be obtained from the point of purchase, no later than three months after the event. A minimum of the proportionate amount of the face value of the ticket will be refunded.
4 Age Policy

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (18 or over) ticket holder at all times.

We do not accept any parental or supervisory duty of care or liability for any under 18s on site.
5 Alcohol & Drugs Policy

Festival and other event goers are not permitted to bring alcohol or any illegal substance into the venue (bars are available in the arena at Somerstock). Anyone resisting the confiscation of disallowed items or disregarding these conditions will face eviction from the site and no admission refund given. Items that are confiscated will not be returned.

Where food and drink is available for purchase at a Somerton Music and Arts Festival event a “Challenge 25” policy will be in place for all alcohol; this includes Somerstock.

Under 18s are not permitted to purchase alcohol on site.

In line with licensing law it is illegal for alcohol to be purchased on behalf of under 18s.
6 Tickets and Wristbands for Somerstock

Tickets are non-transferable and only valid when purchased from official agents of SMAF.

Tickets/wristbands purchased from unauthorised sources will be rendered invalid and holders refused admission.

Tickets must be exchanged for a wristband at first entry. Wristbands permit leaving and re-entry to the site. No re-admission after 10.00 PM.

Tickets must be valid, presented in full, (in the event of accidental damage, refer to point of purchase prior to event).
-
Tickets remain the property of SMAF.

SMAF will not issue duplicate tickets for lost or stolen tickets.
-
Tickets cannot be used as part of any marketing, media or sales promotion, without the prior written consent of SMAF.

Wristbands are provided for all event goers. Parents and carers are asked on admission to the event to add two contact phone numbers on the wristband of all minors.

7 Security

Festival security is managed on behalf of the organisers by a licensed security provider. In addition, official festival stewards, who can be identified by high visibility jackets and authorisation ID, are on duty throughout the event.

SMAF reserves the right to evict a customer without refund, and/or refuse admission or re-admission.

Anti-social behaviour may lead to eviction.
-
You may be body/bag searched at the entrances, on the site or when leaving.
-
Any item(s), reasonably considered for use as a weapon, which may cause danger, offence or disruption to the event or to another person, will be confiscated.
-
Any person carrying illegal items or carrying out illegal activity may be handed over to the police, and will be refused entry or evicted.

Tents may be searched
- Random bag searches will be carried out on site as required
8 Damage and Losses
SMAF is unable to accept any liability for personal or property damages, losses (including confiscations) or injuries sustained at this event – other than caused as a direct result of our negligence. Any lost property found on site during or following the event will be publicised on www.somertonartsfestival.co.uk, www.somerstock.co.uk and on the Somerstock and SMAF social media channels.
9 Banned Items
Please note that only folding chairs and small bags are permitted in the Somerstock arena and that the contents must comply with these ticket and entry terms and conditions especially those relating to alcohol, food and banned items as listed below:

Glass (bottles, jars or containers), air horns/megaphones, fireworks, blow torches and all pyrotechnics, flares and distress flares, illegal substances, unidentifiable substances, new psychoactive substances (NPS), laser equipment/pens, nitrous oxide and associated equipment (balloons / CO2 dispensers / cream dispensers), sky or ‘Chinese’ lanterns, sound systems, spray cans, unofficial tabards/high visibility reflective jackets and

Generators, with the exception of those fixed in campervans, individual camping gas canisters (exemption for gas canisters fitted within campervans), firewood, aerosols over 250ml, petrol burners, any goods for unauthorised trading

Any item that may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon, or which may cause danger, offence or disruption to any other person.

Food and alcohol are available for purchase at the festival and therefore may not be brought onto the site. If you need to bring specific food or drink for personal consumption due to a medical condition, please bring supporting evidence. Snacks and food for young children are also permitted.

Soft drinks/water are permitted in unopened plastic bottles. (Free refills of empty bottles at the water points inside the arena are available.)

Photographic equipment is permitted provided that it is for personal non-commercial use only. In the event of any subsequent commercial use, the user agrees to pay SMAF for the cost of a licence issued for permission to take photographs / visual / audio recordings for commercial use (Cameras with lens of over 6” will not be allowed through the arena entrance),
10 Fire and Safety

Gas cooking stoves are permitted(in campervans) in the camping area; however, open fires are not permitted anywhere on the site.

The burning of plastics, bedding, tents, furniture etc. is not permitted anywhere on site.

Smoking is not permitted in enclosed public spaces or buildings including tents.

Excessive exposure to loud music may cause damage to your hearing.
-
Pyrotechnics, lasers, smoke machines, strobe lighting/special effects may take place during some performances.

The use of drones or similar equipment for any reason is strictly forbidden on site without written permission of SMAF.
11 Housekeeping

Please use the bins and recycling points provided on and off site.

No animals, other than assistance dogs, are permitted on site.
12 Further Information for Festival Goers with Disabilities
Festival goers with disabilities are welcome at all our events. Parking for blue badge holders at Somerstock is available, signposted and/or at the direction of stewards. Tickets for carers are available on a one for one basis by contacting tickets@somerstock.co.uk or by calling 07716 851528.
