Crazy Diamond bring the music of Pink Floyd to Somerton

The organisers of Somerstock are bringing another major live music event to Somerton this autumn, as Crazy Diamond – Shine Through the Years, an eight-piece Pink Floyd tribute, comes to St Michael and All Angels Church on Friday 9 October.

The concert is the latest event in the Music at St Michael’s series, organised by the team behind Somerstock as part of the Somerton Music & Arts Festival.

Crazy Diamond have built a reputation for faithfully recreating the sound and atmosphere of Pink Floyd, performing music spanning the band’s extraordinary career. Their eight-piece line-up brings together the musicians, vocals and instrumentation needed to deliver the full Pink Floyd experience, from early classics through to the later albums.

The concert takes place at St Michael and All Angels in Somerton’s Market Place, providing a very different setting from the open-air atmosphere of Somerstock – but with the same emphasis on great live music.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with music starting at 7.30pm.

The concert will also raise money for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, continuing Music at St Michael’s’ tradition of combining live music with support for local causes.

Music at St Michael’s is organised by the volunteers behind the Somerton Music & Arts Festival, whose annual programme culminates in Somerstock each July. The series provides an opportunity for the festival team to bring live music to Somerton throughout the year, while helping to generate funds towards future community events.
