The Somerstock music festival is organised by Somerton Music and Arts Festival (SMAF)  is a not for profit Community Interest Company (CIC).  It is registered at Companies House and has been in existence in various forms for over thirty years.

SMAF has a board of directors and a committee which organises the events for an annual Festival, which takes place in July, as well holding a number of events at other times in the year.

SMAF is run exclusively by volunteers for the benefit of our community. The primary purpose of the CIC is to put on the annual festival and associated events in Somerton, many of which are free. These include entertainment and workshops in schools and residential homes. Somerstock is the festival’s flagship event, providing a family-friendly music festival in the heart of Somerton. By doing this, the committee aims to make Somerton a better place to live and visit, showing off our fabulous town to all who come.

We are very lucky to benefit from some great sponsors, providing either services or funding to continually help us improve the festival. Without this support, Somerstock would not be the fantastic local festival that it has become.

In 2025, the money raised through both our town events and Somertock, enabled us to make a donation of £1,500 to the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and £1700 to the Recreation Ground Trust. We will be contributing similar amounts this year.
